The system itself is criminal to pay trained prisoner firefighters about a buck an hour? These people are standing side by side with professionals from multiple states, Mexico and Canada. Pay them a decent wage for God’s sake. And no delays on aid to SoCal, exactly like there were no conditions set for NC and Fla after devastation from back-to-back hurricanes last year. Greedy selfish hateful racist jerks!
More than 200 employees of Cal Tech & JPL lost their homes. That's not just engineers and physicists; it's cafeteria workers, custodians, daycare providers. No movie stars. And that's just in Altadena. It's easy to find on the ground nonprofits that are doing what is needed to help. #LAStrong
I'm lucky, my house is several blocks South of the fires so all I have is leaves and branches from the windstorm plus of course, ashes ~ lots and lots of ashes, several cubic yards so far .
Plus a listing Cinder block wall I have no idea how to fix, if anyone here knows a Tradesman (? Mason ?) who wants a nice cash paid job please contact me .
I was up early Wednesday morning taking photos in the dark (Edison pulled the plug early on) before the fire trucks showed up, I'll send a few to Keith in case he wants to post them .
